A bit of a cushion

Tom sold his old Porsche yesterday.

This is good because it'll pay the bills and possibly allow a down-payment on a house in Florida.

It's bad because Tom's had the car for about 40 years and was slowly restoring it. He's really been looking forward to driving it again.

I wish he could have driven it.

Hopefully something wonderful will come to replace the Porsche. Maybe a house in Florida, away from the cold and nearer your kids. That's a good swap.

Any day. I can't wait to get out of this cold state!

Hurray - it was warm today. Like really warm. Like high 60's. We went for a walk at a falls. It was gorgeous - so much water and ice falls. Tomorrow is supposed to be warm again, then back to the cold (but not quite as cold, thank goodness).

My mother fell and broke her wrist on Thursday. I am so worried about her I don't know what to do. I know, I'll go knit - maybe it will strengthen my wrist so when I fall, it won't break.

Bummed out in NJ (except for the warm weather)

We knitters should certainly have good wrists! I hope your mom does well. Mine broke her shoulder a few years ago; she couldn't sleep in a bed for months.

It's been warm here, too! Finally!
