Winners!

Bis and Elaine are the winners of "You Don't Have to Like Them Both". Please email me your mailing info at rita knits at g mail dot com. I'll get them in the mail--really--honestly--truly.

I hear that there are videos of Last Train Home and Peter Cooper and Eric Brace on YouTube, but I can't link to them from work. Stoopid rules. No YouTube, no myspace, no facebook, no flickr, no Raverly (reason for that one: dating, personals. It's a freaking yarn/patterns group!).

Betty said that SHE listened to the guys. This was a major sacrifice for her, what with the steel pedal guitar and country stuff. But I really appreciate that she tried.

If you're in the area, on February 14, Eric and Peter will be at Ashland Coffee and Tea. Great for a Valentine's Day date! Tom and I will be there, and Joan and Scott will mostly likely go, too. Join us; we'll be sitting right in front of the stage.

Yes, I did check out Eric and Peter on YouTube and they sound like really nice, funny guys. Eric was interviewing Peter and then they sang some songs together. They can really play those guitars! They also have very nice voices...I just need to get over my mental block when it comes to country music.

They get along very well, and Peter is quite a storyteller. You should have seen Peter's lavender rhinestoned suit; it looked cream colored to me, but Eric swore that it was lavender.

Did you hear that Neil Diamond is being honored by MusiCare next month? Whatever MusiCare is. I saw it when I was putting mail in the boxes today; the library gets--HA!--a country music magazine!!!

I think that one show and you'd be a fan of this particular Americana music. Really.

I did hear about Neil being honored by MusiCare, or MusicCares, or something like that...it won't be televised, but a DVD will be available for sale later on. Different artists will sing his songs and do a tribute to him and then he'll do a little concert, too. The organization is somehow connected to the Grammies and raises money to take care of musicians who are in need of help. Neil also gave a bunch of money to people/areas affected by Hurricane Ike...he donated money from merchandise sales at his concerts and matched the amounts raised. Neil is good like that.

Cool. I'll play it safe and resend my address info. I wouldn't want my booty to go astray :-)

I just noticed that you listed a different e-mail address here than the one we've communicated with before and I used that one to send you my address. Let me know if that works OK or whether you want me to resend it using this one.

You can use either; I got the gmail account last year to separate my personal email from school's. Sometimes I don't want them to be able to see what I have to say.
