or another video calling thingy? Bitsy has a webcam that I want to use to visit my grandkids.
Speaking of which, I have a trip booked to Orlando in about 3 weeks! Five days in the warmth of Florida. I'd have been happy with two or three full days there, but thanks to Airtran's booking procedures, my free trip wasn't available on the dates I wanted, so I took what was available. I need some warm sun and some grandkids' loving.
Woohoo for getting a free trip to Florida!!!

I've never used Skype, since I don't have such advanced computer stuff, but I've seen it used on TV talk shows and it seems to work pretty well, although sometimes it comes through a big choppy.
I'm glad that you got your flight to Orlando booked. When are you going? And you got five days off from school? WhooHoo!
I have used Skype many times - both machine to machine and machine to phone. But I've never used it with video.
The voice function works well.

I've never used Skype, but I used to use NetMeeting when I lived in Kentucky and it was great being able to visit with my family in California.
Have fun in Orlando...as if you need to be told that! HA!!
