Update from the Keys

Weather: 79 degrees and raining.

Health: ill, possibly flu. Going back to the condo to sleep.

Last night my stomach hurt so much that I thought I'd die. I couldn't straighten up. When I didn't die after half an hour, I went to bed. I figured I'd die or sleep. I slept. Fine today.

Overall, I'd rather be in Marathon.

When was Tom feeling so poorly...last night? I'm glad he's feeling better and hope he stays that way. Glad he had a safe trip down there.

I did that "go to bed and either wake up dead or feeling better" thing one time, when I had a gallbladder attack....I figured death was a reasonable alternative to that pain.

Or, wait....was that YOU who had the stomach pain, rather than Tom??
If so, DO NOT do the "go to sleep and wake up better or dead" thing when you are home alone....Zippy
might not know how to call 911.

Call me...I will come and get you.

p.s. Of course, if I attempt to drive over that mountain in the dark, we might both end up needing Zippy to call 911. But, I'd still try.

Thank you--I appreciate the thought! Zippy hasn't yet figured out how to get the phone on the floor, but with his little paws he could probably stomp out 911.

It was my stomach that hurt so bad last night. I stayed up long enough to figure out that I wasn't bleeding internally (no symptoms). At that point, yep, death is a reasonable alternative to the pain.

Maybe it was the chocolate liqueur that I drank, along with the month-old way-too-salty-potato chips that I ate. Started hurting right after that. No. More. Chocolate liqueur.

However, since I don't want you to drive off the mountain, I'd call 911 myself.

Tom is sick today, but he doesn't have the stomach pain. Just other symptoms of the flu. I ordered him to go to bed, drink lots of fluids, and go to the ER if he doesn't feel better. There's one next to the library in Marathon.

I'm sorry that you are feeling bad...sounds like you both might have picked up something. Did your stomach hurt that time you had internal bleeding?

Call me if you need me! Really.

I feel fine! My stomach hurt a little yesterday at work, but that was stupid Xerox's fault for sending the wrong item. I need those stupid staples!

No, my stomach didn't hurt at all when I had that bleeding. I just turned vampire-pale and got very weak.

....and needed 3 or 4 pints of blood, after calling me and asking me if you should go to the hospital and me telling you no, it's probably just a bug......thank goodness you went the next day any way.

Please don't feel bad about that. I lived! It says something about me that I can't just tell how I feel and make a decision, I have to ask for opinions!
