At least it was pretty

Last night:

This morning:

If you look closely (click on photo), you can see some snow falling off. As the morning went on (and I only saw a few minutes of the morning before I went back to bed) it looked like little avalanches as the snow slipped off.

It's beautiful, but it's cold. And I am oh, so tired of being cold.

This really was the prettiest snow we've had in a long time, and it got us out of school, so I guess that's a trade-off for having to deal with the cold weather.

Now spring can go ahead and start.

I'm ready!

It was a heavy snow, nice and wet, instead of that powdery stuff we've had earlier. This kind is messier, but it was so beautiful.

So pretty. I love it when we get snow. We just had ice last week and the sun hitting it off the trees was just breath taking.

Ice on trees and grass is just beautiful, but on the roads, notsomuch!

Who isn't! I shoveled the driveway today and now I have a miserable backache. Will need to knit and eat chocolate - that is the only solution.

I lived through the last Kentucky ice storm and while everything looked like Swarovzski crystals, it was a nightmare driving in it! Huge chunks of ice landing on your car is ugly!!
Now, in California, lucky me, I CHOOSE when I want to be in the snow...or ice! :=)
Be safe and before y'all know it, you will be basking in the sun again!

It's actually supposed to be warmer this weekend, like maybe even 60. Above zero.
