Passion contest

Thank you to Deedee, Trillian, Betty, and trek for entering my Passion contest. For the winners:

*trumpet blast*

Winning pattern entry: Deedee--Pomatomus (is that spelled right?). I know that the yarn can speak for itself, and no doubt will, but right now I need a challenge, at least until I get so aggravated with it that it's frogged and banished for a while. If my tendonitis doesn't start up again, that's the pattern I'll try. Prize: TBA. I have to go home and rummage through my stash. Maybe I should have thought this through and picked the prizes first, but I have very little self-control.

Best idea to beat the February blues: March. Just kidding. It's a tie, Betty and Deedee, since they both had the same theme going. Again, prize TBA.

And since only four people entered: Trillian and trek will both receive prizes just because I can do that. I'm sweet like that. Prizes TBA.

In the meantime, if I don't have your mailing info, please email it to me at mpost @ harrisonburg dot k12 dot va dot us . I'll let you know when the prizes go out.

And thank you, guys.

It's nice to be a winner! But, since I don't knit, feel free to pass my prize on to someone with actual talent who will make something pretty with it!

Now, did I say that it was a KNITTING prize???

cool! info has been e-mailed
i recently "won" 4 skeins of Claudia's yarn in Passion Fruit. Beautiful stuff. I don't get to keep it though, I have to knit it into socks for the Socks for Soldiers group. I'm going to do a toe-up Jaywalker

Can you imagine living in Alaska where in some parts it's dark 24/7 certain times of the year? I would be climbing the freaking walls..either that, or I'd be one well tanned girly! Thank you Rita for a great contest!!!!

p.s. I'm glad it's March! :=)

Oh, okay. If the prize is a trip to someplace warm, I'll take it. When do we leave?

Trillian, you have more guts than I do! I've tried toe-up castons, but I just can't get them right.

Passionfruit is gorgeous. Some soldier is going to have pretty feet! I think I have some of that, but I think it's all puffy fingering. Not good for socks, but a scarf? Wow!

I simply couldn't live in Alaska or England or even Paris in the winter. In the summer I might make it; it's so light until so late, and it's heavenly!

And I'm glad it's March, too!

Betty, we leave Friday after school. We'll go as far as our debit cards will take us.

I estimate the NC/VA line.

Sorry I missed your contest. As I said, I'll be visiting you more often, you're on my blog list now!

Thank you, Nancy! I'll be happy to see you!

My sisters and I spent a happy weekend in Atlantic City last summer. We had a blast! Hadn't been there since I was 3, and that's been a while.

With my debit card this week, we wouldn't make it far, but payday is coming!

rita said...

Even with my debit card, unless Tom filled the car up first, we'd never make North Carolina.

Yes, Atlantic City was so much fun, even though the drive there and back seemed to take months. We really did fit a lot of fun into that weekend....casinos, concert, shopping, beach, food, buggy ride down the boardwalk...AC has it all!
