When I saw this on the bathroom door at Ashland Coffee and Tea, I knew I had to have a photo of it.
Where's the contest in this?
Read the notice. The first person who can tell me what's wrong with this sign (as I see it) will win some Claudia yarn to be determined, probably after I come back from Florida.
UPDATE: I'm getting some good guesses, but they're not the mistake or odd phrasing that I'm looking for. You're welcome to guess as many times as you like!

ok - here's by guess at what's wrong: It tells you to wash your hands after touching the trash. So, technically when you throw away the towel after washing your hands, you would have to wash your hands again and be caught in an endless cycle!
Thanks for the contest!
what I want to know is why are the employees touching my face!
Employees must wash their hands... after touching your face...
KK
They also spelled the word vigourously as though the sign were in a European restroom. Here in America, it is spelled vigorously. When did you go to Europe? hehe
scub "all" of your hands? how many do you have?
Each of you has a good one; I didn't even notice those! But they're not the one I have in mind. And I promise I won't change my mind and pick another mistake!
Deedee, actually, we were in Europe two years ago in July. Three weeks! It was wonderful, although it was the hottest summer they'd ever had--in London it was 95 degrees and we got sunburned. In London!!!
how about using "toileting" as a verb - I never heard that before!
No, that's not it, but it's still a good one!
It was so glaring to me; even after three glasses of wine I immediately caught it, but then maybe I'm just weird. And drunk.
It implies that employees touch your coughing and sneezing.
The whole sign itself appears to be off-center with respect to the frame it is in.
It doesn't actually tell you how to use the soap 0_o
I don't know... none of these seem too obvious or even important.
Use soap and warm running water? what else would you use? lol
The wording of one sentence just struck me as hilarious. Maybe you had to be there. But it's good to see you, Bismuth!
Deedee, maybe they thought people would wash their hands in the toilet?
Keep guessing, people! You've hit just about everything but!
"It is a technique worthy of fine persons like yourself" - is that the sentence? It does sound strange and persons is plural, while yourself is singular.
No, although that does sound odd. I guess that people who run coffee houses aren't known for using good grammar, but then, neither am I.
Come on, I want to give some yarn away!
Is it the sentence "handwashing prevents dangerous bacteria"? I'm grasping now...lol
oops, prevents the spread of dangerous bacteria...
What about "touching the trash" - you throw trash away; I don't believe anyone stands there touching it!
We want to win some yarn!! :-)
Nonetheless, this has been fun - and we will all be washing our hands!
Wait, I have another guess! "Rinse then towel dry with a clean towel"! As opposed to drying your hands on a dirty towel????
What type of towels are in the rest room? Are they disposable? If it is like your home hand towel then if you turn off the faucet with the "clean" towel then wouldn't you be spreading germs the next time that you use it?
Got another one. Wash your hands for 15-30 sec. I thought that it was supposed to be longer than that, also are you supposed to keep the water running during this time? Tisk tisk - wasteful. ;)
You're all coming up with some really good ones that I didn't get! I guess that after my three glasses of (a good, as opposed to the box-type that I usually drink) wine, I only noticed one sentence!
Keep trying!
WASH THOSE HANDS? Maybe I need to go drink some fine wine...pfftttt
You're making me laugh, Deedee! Keep it up!
Yeah, drink 3 glasses of wine and then look at it. If you're as twisted as I am, you'll see it.
And, using A's game of "Hot and Cold", you're getting closer.
OMG OMG OMG, I missed Trillian's comment "scrub ALL of our hands", so ding ding ding, we have a winner!
Thank you all for being so patient and I'm so sorry for my mistake! Thanks for playing along.
"all of YOUR hands", obviously.
LOL..that was fun! Way to go Trillian..Congrats!!!!
