For Liz

My youngest niece, Liz, has had an occasional visitor at night for 15 years. That's when they moved into an old house and evidentally inherited the resident ghost.

Liz slept in the little room in the attic (it really was a room; she didn't just have to sleep in the attic). Occasionally she'd wake up and see an old man scowling at her. After her initial fright, she kind of got used to it.

Now she's grown up and on her own, but her ghost still is following her.

One of her clients suddenly asked her if she had lived in an old house. Yeesssss. She asked if Liz had ever sensed a presence there, a malevolent presence. Liz felt that the ghost disapproved of her, so, yes again. The woman is a psychic; she asked if she could go to the house. She felt that the presence bore ill will toward Liz.

Joan, Liz' mom, asked me to ask B2 if Liz' ghost was a Red Visitor, as B2 used to call the bad ghosts that visited him. So, after showing B2 photos of our family's Christmas celebration at Joan's house, I asked him.

He was really interested in the colors of the rooms and everything that was contained in them. He asked a lot of questions. Then I showed him photos of Liz in the living room of the house and asked him about Liz' ghost; was he a bad ghost? Did the ghost want to hurt Liz?

B2 looked at her for a long, quiet moment, then emphatically said, "No. It's a good ghost. He won't hurt her."

So there you go, Liz, it's okay. B2 says so.

B2 was right

Caylee was found behind the big tree in the stinky water.

B2's been insisting for the last couple of months that Caylee's been moved, she's not there any more. When the skull was found a week ago, he freaked out. "It's not her! She's gone! It's another kid!" after J explained to him what a skull is. To him, Caylee was a kid, not bones.

He says he can't talk to her. She's gone.

May she now have the opportunity to rest in peace.

Election boss, B2 Chronicles

My boy worked hard to get Barack Obama elected. When J picked B2 up after preschool on Monday, he told her that they'd had an election and everyone voted for Obama because he'd told them to. J asked the teacher if it was true that the "election" was so one-sided, and the teacher said yes, not one kid had voted for McCain.

And when she went into the voting booth at the "real" voting place, B2 loudly told her that she was to vote for Barack Obama, because Obama was going to live in the White House. J told me that they hadn't discussed politics at home much, but B2 absorbed it somewhere, possibly from his Weekly Reader at preschool, and he was going to make sure that everyone within his reach would vote his way.

B2, Election Bully.

The boy, again

B2 is going to be a box for Halloween. J wrote,

"Yep, I'm going put some straps on a box and write on it. "Yes, I chose to be a box for Halloween. I am 4 years old. I think outside of the box." Even though he is actually inside the box... people will get it, I hope. He'll be thrilled... unless it rains."

He entertains me.

And--

"I think he just ignores people he doesn't like, anyway. he seems so strong- not at all like A. For example, HalloScream Horror nights are now going on at Universal. They have ghastly commercials on all the time, and the billboards are everywhere. A is scared out of her mind- doesn't even want to look in a mirror at night because "Bloody Mary might come" to her soul!!! I hate those damn commercials. They should not be allowed to be aired during children's programs or during the day, for that matter. They freak me out. On the way home from Preschool today, B2 told me that he wants to go to Universal and stay at their hotel and go to HalloScream. I said, of course, "Are you out of your mind, child???!!! That's scary. I'm not going there." He said, "Well, I want to go." Weirdo. People under 18 can't even go. When the commercial comes on, B2 screams with delight, and laughs, while pretending it's just sooooo scarey. A screams "TURN IT OFFFFFFF!!!" So, who knows, it's probably just the attention he gets from A.

Sigh."

Twilight Zone

I've been holding off writing about this; it just didn't feel right. But today I have to.

I may have mentioned a time or two that B2 has Visitors and Friends and passes on messages from them. Back in July, while Tom, A, and I were in California, Jennifer called and asked if I'd heard about little Caylee who'd been missing from her home in Orlando for a month, but Mom had just reported it.

They'd gotten home late that night. B2 was asleep next to Jennifer while she watched the news. When the part about Caylee came on, B2 sat up, said, "She's dead." J said, "No, she's just missing." B2 said, with certainty, "No. She's dead. Her mommy hurt her." J asked how she was hurt; B2 slashed his hand across his cheek. Later he told her that Caylee's mom didn't cut her while she was alive.

A couple of days later, B2 told his mommy that Caylee was "behind the big trees." He later told her that she was no longer there; she'd been moved. When he saw a photo on tv of Caylee's mother, he again said, "She killed her."

Lately he's been saying, "Caylee's sad, very sad. But she's okay now. She's just sad." This is the first time that he's said that someone was sad. Always before they've been okay after death, no matter how they died (usually violently).

J called me this morning because she saw, on tv, policemen looking for Caylee. In the trees.

So many people have told J that she should call the police with the information B2 has given her. A 4-year-old kid who has Visitors? Sure, lady. And just how does he know this stuff? Uh huh.

It'll be interesting to see if poor Caylee is found and any of B2's "visions" are true. For now, B2's just saying, "She's very sad. I don't want to talk about it."

That's my boy! The B2 Chronicles

"A heard weird noises under her bed a few nights ago and B2 grabbed her hand and marched in to her room and sprayed all the "monsters" with his weird-nose-sounds and then they both were fine.

:o)"

nb: B2 is able to hum through his nose. It's a really odd sound, but we've gotten used to it. Now he's putting it to good use.

I'm so proud of him.

The B2 Chronicles part 3

"He's naked right now, in A's bathroom, standing on a stool- just used the potty. He's singing/telling his "friends" to "WATCH OUT GUYS!!!" as he's aiming his penie at things. Now I hear "OUCH, OUCH" and running water... better go."

The B2 Chronicles

Update (I know you're all thrilled, but he really amuses me.):

"All is good... B2s teacher, Ms. M, said he was GOOD! I didn't ask anything else.

No milkshakes- he didn't even ask this time! I have been feeding them low fat foods, no cookies or junk at all... he suffered for the first week. I brought them small sundaes from McDonalds once last week and B2 went on and on... "OH THANK YOU MOMMY!!! I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!" and shook his head smiling.. poor chunk. They are eating a lot more fruit for dessert, and not complaining about having grapes or pineapple or oranges. Good."

I had suggested a milkshake as a reward, but this is much better!

My grandson, the flasher

From my daughter:

B2 pushed red Play Doh down my bathroom sink drain last night. He had put water in the sink, too. Bless his little heart. He went off to preschool this morning, skipping. So happy to be back. I bet he comes out this morning a different boy. His head will be down, and he won't say good-bye to his teacher, like always. I will then hear "B2 had another rough day today. He couldn't keep his hands to himself" or "he was running around OUT OF CONTROL!!!" or "He was showing his privates, again". You never know. (That only happened after his surgery and he just wanted everyone to see what had been done, I guess...)
