that my new best friend, the dental hygienist, told me that I need to use a particular kind of prescription toothpaste from now on and said she'd give me some. When I got home last night, I looked over the bill and saw that I'd been charged $17 for the "free" toothpaste! Seems she should have mentioned that I had to pay for it. It's being returned.
And my gums are in good shape in spite of the fact that I've totally ignored them.
Wow do I hate it when they give you a "sample" of something and it winds up on the bill. My dermatologist did that to me but unfortunately I didn't realize it until I had already tried it - bummer!
ReplyDeleteAnd I bet me dental insurance is more worthless than yours. And this year they changed our medical insurance to a catastrophic plan so basically everything is out of pocket until you're bankrupt and then they pay some. It really sucks.
That does suck. Mine is pretty good--so far. I think the teachers would revolt if the school system did that to our insurance.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and her family pay about $800 a month in health insurance through her husband's employer. It's decent insurance, though, and with two kids they use it a lot.
I would be pissed... I would call them and tell them to refund me, that I was told I would be "given" some..I wouldn't even waste the gas to get there.

ReplyDeleteAnd I bet if you compared the ingredients on the 'prescription' toothpaste to a name brand, they would be the same! I saw my hygienist this past Tuesday and she DID give me my sample (Crest Sensitivity) for free! yeehaw!!
